The University Council has approved the promotion of Dr. James Deng to the rank of Full Professor within the School of Public Health, recognizing over a decade of sustained research, teaching, and policy impact.
Prof. Deng's work on maternal and child health interventions has been cited in national health policy frameworks and has directly informed community health worker training programs now used in several states.
"Impact and legacy that keeps growing," said a colleague at the College of Health Sciences, describing Prof. Deng's influence on a generation of public health graduates now serving across South Sudan.
